Jamaica YES currently has privately funded scholarships available to students transitioning into High School.
Please be sure to carefully read the requirements for each one.
Deadline to apply: MAY 31, 2024
is the last day to apply for these scholarships.
Announcement of each selected recipient will be made prior to the beginning of the next school year.
For each scholarship application, please print and complete.
The Ruth Graham Memorial Scholarships
Application is for the following:
(2) $500.00 (U.S.D. – JMD equivalent) 1 boy and 1 girl selected
(3) $250 (U.S.D. – JMD equivalent)
Brief list of eligibility requirements:
- Students eligible for this scholarship must be a new high school student with strong academic performance who demonstrate financial need to offset their educational costs.
Must also meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be a grade 6 student of Tulloch Primary School, or Linstead Primary and Junior High School.
- Be between the ages of 10 and 13 years old at the time of the application.
- Be resident in a household that has total family annual income under JMD $430,000.
- Completed application
- 200 word statement on “What education means to me.”
- Primary school report for grades 5 and 6
- 2 Letters of Recommendation from any of the following: teacher, spiritual leader, Justice of the Peace
- Proof of household income

The Viola Roberts Memorial Scholarship
1 – $250 USD scholarship awarded
Brief list of eligibility requirements:
- High achieving students attending or going to attend high school in Jamaica.
- Applicants are evaluated primarily based on academic achievement, leadership potential and career aspiration. Financial need is also considered.
