Jamaica YES currently has privately funded scholarships available to students transitioning into High School.
Please be sure to carefully read the requirements.
Deadline to apply: MAY 31, 2026
is the last day to apply for this scholarship.
Announcement of each selected recipient will be made prior to the beginning of the next school year.

The Ruth Graham Memorial Scholarships
Application is for the following:
$500.00 (U.S.D. – JMD equivalent) scholarships
$250.00 (U.S.D. – JMD equivalent) scholarships
Brief list of eligibility requirements:
- Students eligible for this scholarship must be a new high school students with strong academic performance who demonstrate financial need to offset their educational costs.
Must also meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be a grade 6 student of Tulloch Primary School, or Linstead Primary and Junior High School.
- Be between the ages of 10 and 13 years old at the time of the application.
- Be resident in a household that has total family annual income under JMD $430,000.
- Completed application
- 200 word statement on “What education means to me.”
- Primary school report for grades 5 and 6
- 2 Letters of Recommendation from any of the following: teacher, spiritual leader, Justice of the Peace
- Proof of household income

Danny Pantry Memorial Scholarship
Application is for the following:
1 – $500.00 (U.S.D. – JMD equivalent) Scholarship – for school fees only
Brief list of eligibility requirements:
- Students eligible for this scholarship must be a new high school student.
- Field of study in either Agriculture, Education or Health Care.
Must also meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Eligibility is available to any new 6th grade student in Jamaica.
- Provide test scores for grades 5 and 6
- Describe short and long term goals
- Describe your hobbies/activities
- Share any community service you have performed
- Describe any hardship that you have overcome
- Did you benefit from the Jamaica YES breakfast program? If so, how did it impact your life?
- Provide a statement on a topic of choice
- 2 Letters of Recommendation from any of the following: principal, counselor, teacher, spiritual leader, community leader
- Completed application

The Viola Roberts Memorial Scholarship
Application is for the following:
1 – $250 USD scholarship awarded
Brief list of eligibility requirements:
- Student must be completing grade 6 at a Primary School in Jamaica OR is a currently High School student at any institution in Jamaica.
Must also meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must submit a 250 word essay stating how this scholarship will impact their future.
- Career Aspiration
- Primary school report for grades 6
- 2 Letters of Recommendation (from any of the following: teacher, spiritual leader, Justice of the Peace).
